The 2010 - 2013 Business Plan for the Alberta Water Council sets the strategic priorities and guides the Council's work for the next 3 years. The Council's goals for 2010 - 2013 are as follows:

Goal 1: The implementation of the Water for Life (WFL) strategy is reviewed in a timely and thorough manner. 

Goal 2: Alberta Water Council’s policy recommendations are timely, based on credible information, implementable, have consensus and support WFL goals and timelines.

Goal 3: Alberta Water Council has an effective process for sectors to discuss and resolve water management issues. 

A number of strategies to achieve these goals are outlined in the 2010-2013 Business Plan.
